About This Course

This is an introduction to Linear Algebra with an emphasis on understanding the concepts and results.

Requirements

The material is not algebraically hard, but it is somewhat abstract and this requires time to become aclimatized to the thin air of high-altitude math.

What software beyond a browswer is needed for this course?

A VirtualBox appliance is provided which can run on Oracle's VirtualBox and on VMware's VMplayer. Your computer must be able to run VirtualBox or VMPlayer. This appliance has all the software you will need. This includes a couple of LaTeX editors which we will use to format our work. We will also be using an algebraic manipulation program to study various linear algebra problems and concepts.
